- Easy to modulate hydraulic disc brakes for good braking performance.
- 625Wh battery for a very large range.

Description
The Cannondale Mavaro Neo 5+ is a wonderful hybrid e-bike that, with its low step-through design and comfortable sitting position, is suitable for anyone who enjoys going on nice bike tours.
Comfortable riding position and good damping
The Mavaro Neo 5+ electric bike is perfect for comfortable rides in the city and countryside. The handlebars are quite high in relation to the saddle and the distance between them is not too big, so you sit up straight. The stem is adjustable to allow you to adjust the sitting position exactly to your preferences. The front suspension is very smooth; add the 50 mm wide tyres and you will hardly feel the bumps and potholes in the road surface. The sturdy frame makes for great handling and lets you enjoy every ride.
Ideal touring bike with Bosch e-bike technology
Due to the location of the Bosch Active Line Plus motor and the in-frame battery, this e-bike's centre of gravity is at the centre of the bike, resulting in excellent road handling. The Bosch mid-drive motor delivers 50Nm of torque, plenty for smooth cycling in the city as well as on undulating roads. The 625Wh capacity makes the Mavaro very suitable for commuting and longer tours.
High-quality gear shifting and braking
A good touring electric bike benefits from having plenty of gears. This is why Cannondale has selected a 10-speed Shimano Deore rear derailleur. It gives you a very wide gearing range, which is useful for climbing the odd hill smoothly. On the descent you will appreciate powerful brakes with good modulation. This is exactly what the TRP hydraulic disc brakes provide, which will also increase your sense of security in heavy traffic.
Packed with small pluses
In addition to the components mentioned above, the Cannondale Mavaro Neo 5+ is equipped with a host of useful features and accessories. At the front, this e-bike not only has a powerful headlight but also an additional daytime running light integrated into the frame. This makes you clearly visible during the day as well. This electric city bike is easy to charge as the charge port is located high on the frame, so that you won't have to bend over. Getting on and off the bike will be a breeze thanks to the wide step-through design of the frame.
Sporty looks and good equipment
Although the bike has been designed mainly for comfort during longer rides, the Mavaro has a sporty look. The colour scheme around the motor catches the eye and gives the bike a sleek appearance. This is increased by the robust downtube and minimalist luggage rack design. The aluminium mudguards are a real eye-catcher, giving the Mavaro a sturdy and sporty appearance. It is an e-bike you'll be proud to be seen with.
The combination of ultimate comfort, user-friendliness and sporty looks makes the Cannondale Mavaro Neo 5+ an interesting bike indeed. However it will be the sense of quality you'll get as soon as you get on it that will win you over.
The wide step-through frame of the Mavaro Neo 5+ makes getting on and off the bike easy. The frame has been designed using Cannondale's SmartForm technology, whereby the tube material is thicker at stress points and thinner where possible, keeping the frame as light as possible while retaining its strength. Also, extra attention has been paid to robust 'smooth welds' and post-welding heat treatment to ensure the sturdiness of the welded frame. This results in a stiff frame with excellent handling. The front fork features a HeadShok DL50 suspension with 50 mm of travel. If you don't pump up the tyres to the max, the suspension combined with the tyres will provide plenty of damping. The wheels are equipped with thru-axles to increase stiffness and ensure tight steering.
E-bike technology
The Bosch Active Line Plus motor has 50Nm torque. We recommend that bikes with this motor be used primarily on flat or slightly undulating roads. The motor may not feel powerful enough in the hills. In combination with the 625 Wh PowerTube battery, the realistic range is estimated at 120 km. This takes into account a total weight of rider, luggage and bike of 110 kg, varying weather and terrain conditions, and varying use of the assist modes. In more adverse conditions the range will be less than 120 km, in favourable conditions it will be more.
Shifting and braking
The Shimano Deore shifting parts are known for being used on mid-range mountain bikes. They will perform well on unpaved paths. The TRP hydraulic disc brakes have 4 pistons per caliper. Compared to the 2-piston calipers found on some e-bikes, these calipers deliver more braking power. The large 180 mm front disc brake rotor increases braking power and control of the front brake. This will make you feel confident when braking.
Lights
The integrated daytime running lights switch on automatically when the bike is switched on, making you clearly visible during the day. When the regular lights are switched on, the daytime running lights will dim. The head- and taillights are an Axa Compactline 35E and an Axa Blueline respectively.
Other parts
The Mavaro Neo 5+ has ergonomic grips and 680 mm wide handlebars with an ergonomic backsweep. This keeps your hands, wrists and elbows in a natural position, provided the bike is properly adjusted to your body. The Wave saddle is from Selle Royal's comfort line, aimed at lasting comfort during long rides.
